The second book launch took place at The Butterfly House at Castle Gardens, Sherborne. There were 40 invited guests including our top team of authors, we missed Daniel Wright who lives in the Scottish Isles. There to enjoy a super afternoon tea were authors Derek Beer, Anne Maryon-Davis, Mike Frackiewicz, Brian Haigh, Giles Harvey, David Lloyd, Christine and Ian Scott and George Reeve who wrote the Foreword.
The second printing of the book is funded by the Community Rail Network.
The book charts the history of the stations of Salisbury, Tisbury, Gillingham, Templecombe, Sherborne, Yeovil Junction and Crewkerne as well as the disused stations of Semley, Dinton and Fovant, Milborne Port and Sutton Bingham. Lots of images and full of antecdotes as well as the story of the coming of the railway and stories of the individual stations.
At present we are awaiting the second batch of book for distribution. Over the coming weeks when the books are delivered to the various stockists they will be available for sale at £14.50.
