SAILING THE SOUTH ATLANTIC WITH JENNIFER COOMBS
At the beginning of this year, Jennifer made a 6 week, 6,500km sailing trip across the wild, windswept South Atlantic to assist the Jubilee Sailing Trust whose aim is to involve people from all walks of life, both able and physically disabled, to reach their potential through sailing. Proving to be a serious challenge for both able and disabled crew, her adventure took place on the barque, Tenacious, the largest wooden ship to be built in the UK for 100 years. Jennifer will describe in words and pictures her experience of sailing from the Falklands Islands to Cape Town via South Georgia and Tristan de Cunha and regale you with more stories of her recent exploits in the South Atlantic.
